Year 8 Cricket – SSV Round 2

The Year 8 Boys comfortably progressed to the next round of SSV Cricket on Tuesday 27th March at the College Ovals. Winning the toss, Jake Pendrick anchored the innings with 48, while cameo knocks from Seb Prendergast (24no) and Ethan Aurisch (20) saw the total amount to a respectable 130 after 20 overs. Executing the team plan to near perfection, the bowlers restricted Traralgon SC to be all out for 25 in response. Highlights were Harry Gravener’s late innings Hat-Trick Maiden, a side on run out from 40m by Mason Annear and a terrific one-handed catch by Bailey Carubia. All the bowlers did their job and the competition will now go into a Winter recess before resuming later in the year. Well done boys!
