SSV State Swimming
For the second year running, Catholic College Sale is pleased to have a State Champion Swimmer. Some outstanding news from the SSV State Swimming Championship, held on Thursday April 28th, with Kayla Pratt (Year 9) defending her State Title win from last year in the 12-15 Years Girls 100m Freestyle event. Kayla finished 1st with a time of 1:00.80, just 17 hundredths of a second ahead of her nearest opponent! Kayla also finished 3rd in the 15 Years Girls 50m Freestyle with a time of 29.24 seconds.
It was a terrific day at the Melbourne Sport and Aquatic Centre, with our other swimmers also registering some really pleasing results:
- James Arnup came 7th in the 14 Year Boys Butterfly in a time of 31.45
- Max Bassett came 5th in the 12-15 Boys 50m MC Freestyle in a time of 46.48 and 4th in the 12-15 Year Boys 50m Backstroke in a time of 1:09.79

- Felicity Nicolaci, Kiahna Kiely, Keira Adam & Emma Feltis came 7th in the 17 Year Girls 4x50m Freestyle relay in a time of 2:48.02
Well done to all swimmers on making it through to State Finals to be regarded as some of the top swimmers in the state of Victoria. Thank you also to Mrs Lisa Elvin for accompanying and supporting the group.
