Show Choir Eisteddfod Success

Our Show Choir, a six member close harmony vocal group has just completed a rare trifecta.  This group placed first in their respective sections in every local Eisteddfod this year – Sale Eisteddfod, Yarram Eisteddfod and the Latrobe Valley Eisteddfod.  Their competition ranged from groups younger than them, to young adults, to those old enough to be their grandparents, and from as far afield as Pakenham, Yarram, the Latrobe Valley and Maffra.

Not only has this group won their sections in these Eisteddfods but they were also awarded the George and May Scammell Memorial Award for the most outstanding group performance during the Eisteddfod (including instrumental bands and orchestras) at the Yarram Eisteddfod.

The CCS Show Choir is a hard-working and extremely talented group of singers whose voices ‘are extraordinarily mature’ and who have been described as ‘the choir I have waited all Eisteddfod to hear’.  They rehearse after school and at lunch times under the expert guidance of Mr Roy Condeza.

The six Show Choir members are: Abbey Walsh, Emily Fraser, Elisa Mijares, Mackeely Bennett, Hannah Walsh and Marni McCubbin.
