Marist Basketball 2019

Congratulations to our Boys & Girls Marist Basketball teams who travelled to Bendigo in the first week of the holidays to compete at the 2019 Marist Basketball Carnival.

Overall, our Girls finished 8^th and our Boys finished 14^th against some strong competition. Marcellin College defeated Trinity College Beenleigh in the Boys Championship Division Final (81-40), while Assumption College Kilmore defeated Marist College Bendigo (41-37) in the Girls Final.

Jas Hennig (Year 9) and Jack Hrehoresen (Year 9) were adjudged our team’s MVPs, while Chloe Nash and & Jake Hutchins were named our Champagnat medallion recipients for their conduct on and off the court throughout this year’s Carnival.

Jack capped off a great carnival with selection in the ‘Marist Ten’, recognised as one of the best ten players in the Boys competition –  a fantastic effort given the large number of teams that competed.
