Marist Basketball 2019
Congratulations to our Boys & Girls Marist Basketball teams who travelled to Bendigo in the first week of the holidays to compete at the 2019 Marist Basketball Carnival.
Overall, our Girls finished 8th and our Boys finished 14th against some strong competition. Marcellin College defeated Trinity College Beenleigh in the Boys Championship Division Final (81-40), while Assumption College Kilmore defeated Marist College Bendigo (41-37) in the Girls Final.
Jas Hennig (Year 9) and Jack Hrehoresen (Year 9) were adjudged our team’s MVPs, while Chloe Nash and & Jake Hutchins were named our Champagnat medallion recipients for their conduct on and off the court throughout this year’s Carnival.
Jack capped off a great carnival with selection in the ‘Marist Ten’, recognised as one of the best ten players in the Boys competition – a fantastic effort given the large number of teams that competed.
